The Inn At Dresden

Hi and welcome!

This is a little layout I worked on recently.  I used Emma's Shoppe Collection pattern papers from Crate Paper.  The photo is a bed and breakfast my Mom and I stayed in on one of our Girl's Trips to Dresden, Ohio.

I'm still working on a variety of Christmas tags and I have a few more cards to finish as well.  Do you have all your decorations out?

Thanks for stopping by to spend a few minutes with me!

8th Grade

Hi and happy cyber Monday to you.  Are you planning to check out all the internet sales today?  I'm feeling much better today from whatever grabbed me over the weekend.  I'm still coughing and I sound terrible though so I'm taking the day off work.  I spend 95% of my time talking to people on the phone and stopping mid-conversation to have a coughing spell doesn't sound pleasant.

I had big crafty plans for the weekend which went nowhere, but I did drag out a few things yesterday to start working on Christmas tags.  I'll post a few of those later this week.  For now, I'll leave you with my 8th grade school picture.

I used Basic Grey's Oxford patterned papers, buttons and ribbon from Apron Strings September 2011 kit along with American Craft Thickers.

Adios!

In The Army Now

Happy Day after Thanksgiving!  Are you suffering from too much turkey and trimmings or have you been out there fighting the madness that is Black Friday?  I woke up Wednesday morning with a sore throat which has progressed to include sneezing and feeling like I've been ran over by a Mack truck.  My Thanksgiving dinner consisted of a nice, hot bowl of chicken noodle soup.  I'm also on my second box of Kleenex.  So, a little nontraditional day but a great time to relax all the same.  I'm also not a Black Friday shopper kind of girl.  I avoid the malls on normal days cause I don't like the crowds and lines so there's no way I even consider going anywhere near one in November or December.  I will confess to making the occasional trip to Target or Wal-Mart, but I go early in the morning before the masses descend.  I know people that like the craziness of the crowds and being a part of it is part of the tradition, but me......I like to do my shopping on the Internet so UPS delivery man....get ready!

I had every intention of posting this layout on Wednesday, but a bad case of medicine-head prevented me from forming coherent sentences.  I used Harvest Market patterned papers from Lily Bee Designs and sketch #65 from Sketch Savvy.  The photo is of my Grandfather in his uniform.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Snow Day 2011

Hi-ya and happy Monday!

I was going through a pile of random photos and found a few from the blizzard we had last February. I thought they would work perfectly with a winter themed kit I have had forever. I bought this kit at least 4 years ago but didn't use it right away and then it always seemed to get passed over when I needed winter/snow papers.

The storm was actually classified as a Blizzard because of the winds and visibility so the city was shut down for about 36 hours.  The snow drifts were incredible so I didn't venture out too far from my house to snap these shots.  I love the snow when I get to stay cozied up inside!

Cabin In The Woods

TGIF and a short work week next week to boot.....can't beat that!

A few years ago (OK, a decade ago) I took a trip with my Mom and Grandpa to visit my aunt and uncle in Park City, Utah.  While we were there, we took a little side trip to Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Hole, WY.  While in Jackson Hole, we stayed in this cabin in the middle of nowhere.  The scenery was beautiful and a deer came right up to the deck one morning.

The papers and embellishments are from Fancy Pant's Summers End line.

Thanks for stopping by!

The Beach

Hello and welcome.  I've been a little crafty this week and completed another little layout for ya.

It's a two-pager, but I'm having difficulty with my lack of photo taking ability.  So, this is the left page and here's the right side:

The pics are from my parents dog-sitting stay in Hawaii this past summer.

The papers are Bo Bunny and are actually from a kit I purchased at least a couple of years ago.  I decided it was time to use them up and you can't get much beachy-er than Hawaii.  Lots of old-style layering.

Stop by later this week for a fall layout using very non-fall colors.

Oh, Happy Day!

Hi there and happy Sunday to you!  Today I have a little layout to share about a recent Happy Day.

Yep, it's the day I purchased my new laptop!  I've written about my computer frustrations a few times over the past year and decided it deserved it's own scrapbook page.....lol!  I used paper and elements from SEI including all the glittery flowers.

Thanks for stopping by, I have a few more layouts to show later in the week so I hope to see you here again.
