I was playing around today with a few flower stamps and this is one of my favorites. Simple but colorful. I stamped the mums and colored them in with copics. I know they aren't traditional mum colors, so I made another using rust and a dark yellow. In addition to the these two cards, I made 10 more simple cards with a variety of sentiments to build up my card stash and a couple others for a total of 14 cards today!! Tomorrow's plan is to work on a couple of layouts while watching the ballgame. Enjoy your weekend!

I'm Back!
Good Morning!
Well, it's been almost a month since the last post and I've been on the search for a new computer. I haven't taken the plunge yet, but I'm getting closer. On the bright side, I'm finally able to post photos again AND even 'found' the photos I thought were lost from April. So, overall a good day so far and it's not even noon!
Although I haven't been posting anything, never fear, the creativity has continued with weekly cards and layouts.

This card is for the daughter of a friend. Next weekend is her High School graduation. She's heading to college in Nashville, TN next fall so I'm tucking a Target gift card inside to help her decorate her dorm room. I used the same concept as a card I made a few months ago-just changed up the colors and sentiment. It's so quick and easy I can see this quickly becoming my go-to card design because it's so versatile for any occasion and can be for a guy or girl by simply changing the colors.
See ya next week!

Houston we have a problem
Where to begin......I guess I'll start with the obvious.....my computer is making me crazy! I've been having problems with it for a while but I may have reached the end of my patience. I am no longer able to load photos from my camera to the computer. I've tried deleting the Kodak program and re-installing it several times this week. At first, everything appears to be fine. The last step of installation is to restart the computer, but when it restarts, I get an error message that says to run set up and choose repair then restart again. It's a vicious cycle of restart, error, repair, restart, error, repair. I do have a Photo Keeper memory stick that I was updating once a month, so I guess the only pictures I really lost were those taken in April.
So, no picture this week of the card I made. I've picked out my papers for this weeks layout, but haven't worked it out yet so I guess this is it for today.
Wish me luck.

First Card
Happy Easter!
My family came to spend the holiday weekend and I was able to walk my Mom through making her first card! She created her own background with stamps, used the Big Shot to die cut a frame and discovered the magic of Versamark ink.
As the card says, Wishing you Blue Skies and Sunshine! Till next time...

White Christmas
Hello! It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon in central Illinois today, but it may be the last one for a few days. Rain showers are moving in with a high chance of rain and cooler temps each day through next weekend.
I did a little scrapping and stamping this weekend and finished a two page winter themed layout and four Christmas cards. Guess the cold, windy day yesterday inspired me! This is the right hand page of the layout. Icy blues and greys for a December snowstorm. I'm really happy with the cards I completed as well. I had an idea in mind before I ever started working on them, but ended up with something completely different. Guess I'll save my original idea for the May Christmas cards!
Till next week.....

Sweet Little Abby
Well, I haven't done very well goal-wise these past two weeks. Last week I completed a card, but no layout and this week I completed a layout, but no card. Last week at least I had a good reason as I was out of town, but this weekend my excuse is pretty weak......I was absorbed in a Dexter Season 2 marathon. Have you ever watched Dexter? He's a forensic investigator in blood splatter for the Miami Police Department by day and a serial killer by night (but he only kills criminals). The series was recommended to me and it finally came up in my Netflix list a couple months ago. Loved season 1 so much, I added season 2. I'm adding season 3 as soon as I finish this post.....yes, it's an addiction.
Hopefully I can get back on track next week and manage to finish a few cards AND a layout.....we'll see.

Dots, Dots and More Dots
Do you love this or what?
Just a quick post this weekend, family stuff on the schedule. I was blog surfing and found a very similar card by Nicole Heady. I fell in love with the design and had to try it out myself. Very simple, very quick and I can't wait to try it out with different colors; I'm thinking blues, greens and purples!
Have a great weekend!
