July Papertrey Blog Hop

Today’s the day. The 25th means it’s time for Papertrey’s blog hop. The inspiration photo is usually revealed right after all the new release festivities and I’m always excited to see what’s been chosen.  This month is all about creatures under the sea.

And my card.....

I love a blue and red color scheme and use it often but rather than under the sea, I went with something a little more sea adjacent, haha.

June Papertrey Blog Hop

Hello and happy June 25th to you!

The 25th means it’s time for Papertrey’s monthly blog hop and the inspiration photo is full of fruity summer goodness.

The gorgeous fruit was my inspiration for today’s card.

The watermelons and sentiment are from Fruit Fusion: Melon, County Fair for the florals and paisleys and a few stars from Celebrate With A Bang. The images were stamped in the juicy colors of Hibiscus Burst, New Leaf and Pure Poppy with a little Spring Rain for the stars.

I’m off to grab a popsicle and check out all the colorful creations.

It’s been a while since I’ve been inspired to make a card but one look at this outdoor scene and my card practically came to life right there!  Inspiration strikes everyone differently. Inspiration can come from the theme of the image. Or the color palette. You may be inspired by the focal image. Or by one of the little details. I was inspired by the little trailer and the general outdoor vibe.

PTI Anniversary Sketch Challenge

It’s February, which means it’s Anniversary time with Papertrey Ink. Anniversary time is 10 days full of announcements, challenges, inspiration and contests. The challenge for Day 1 is to create a project using one of the design team sketches.

January Papertrey Blog Hop

Hello and welcome. It’s once again time for the monthly blog hop with Papertrey Ink. The inspiration photo this month is full of party fun with lots of white and sweet treats.

With all this party goodness, I have to confess, the first thing thing that I REALLY noticed when I looked at the photo was - are you ready for it - the window blinds!  I have the Cover Plate: Stripes Horizontal and it’s never been used so when I zero’d in on those blinds I knew this was the perfect time to dig it out.  So here’s my card:

This beautiful tablescape is our inspiration photo.

I was inspired by the hexagon pattern on the rug and I also wanted to incorporate the bow from the back of the chair.

The mason jar components are from Friendship Jar Fall Fillers and are colored with Copic markers. The bow is from Tinsel and Tags.  I also used the Linen and Canvas impression plate to add a little texture to the rustic cream card front.

Blog Hop for Dawn Part 2

Hello again,

One more card for Dawn before the hop ends. For this card I wanted to focus on Dawn’s love of color!
